Kiek in de Kök Fortifications Museum

Kiek in de Kök Fortification Museum forms a museum complex over 500 metres long that includes four towers: Kiek in de Kök, Maiden's Tower, Tallitorn Tower, and the Gate Tower of the Short Leg (Lühikese jala väravatorn). The fortification museum also includes mysterious underground bastion passages, which house the Carved Stone Museum. The Kiek in de Kök exhibition provides an overview of the warfare of the past. The bastion passages were built in the 17th–18th centuries. The exposition of the bastion passages introduces the history of the defensive structures and the most important military events. The bastion passages and the Carved Stone Museum can be explored with an audio guide, which we ask you to download to your phone beforehand.

    Free with Tallinn Card.

PLEASE NOTE! The wall passages of Kiek in de Kök Fortifications Museum will be under renovation from 15 May to 1 July. The museum will be open as usual, but access to the wall passages connecting the towers will be closed. During the renovation period, entry to the museum will be cheaper - full ticket €8, discount ticket €5 and family ticket €18.

Excellent! Huge amount to see both outside on the walls and in the towers, and 320m of tunnels. Give it a couple of hours, insightful, informative, and great views.
