The house of worship located in the leafy area of Nõmme was consecrated in 1924 as the commemorative church of the Treaty of Tartu.
In 1913, the building that was once a workshop established by Nikolai von Glehn became a place for prayer meetings that was complemented with a bell tower in 1918. The building was reconstructed to its current appearance in 1931 on the basis of designs by architect Friedrich Wendach.
