    Danish Queen's Rose Garden

The Danish Queen’s Rose Garden on the slope of the Dome Hill (Toompea) next to Kiek in de Kök Tower and the Danish King’s Garden was opened by Her Majesty the Queen of Denmark Margrethe II on 15 June 2019 as a gift to the city of Tallinn. The garden has 800 roses to mark the 800 years of the first written mention of Tallinn and the 800th anniversary of the Danish flag Dannebrog that according to the legend fell down from heaven in Tallinn on 15 June 1219.

The garden also has eight so-called Copenhagen benches and a memorial plaque on the wall.
