The Kalamaja Community Museum was created with the help of the locals. Opened in September 2021, the museum is a cosy place for locals and visitors alike, with exhibitions and public programme to learn about local history, the present, and the future.

The museum does not tell the entire story of Tallinn's oldest suburb from beginning to end – Kalamaja is meant to be discovered on your own. You can experience it briefly in the museum, but especially when walking in the streets and parks or sitting on a bench or on the stairs.
