Paljassaare Conservation Area and Birdwatching Tower

Paljassaare Conservation Area is one of Tallinn's most valuable natural sites, where you can experience rare species and birdwatching in an urban environment.

This area of pan-European importance offers magnificent views of reed beds, meadows and the sea, especially from the observation towers. Over 220 species of birds have been recorded in the conservation area, which is situated on a migratory path. A 550 m-long boardwalk hiking trail has been built for visitors, which runs through a diverse landscape and allows you to discover nature on foot or by bicycle.

In the summer, you can see Highland cattle grazing alongside the hiking trail, helping to maintain the area's coastal meadow landscape.

Come and experience wildlife in the middle of the city!
