    Medieval dwellings of Tallinn

Nearly two- thirds of Tallinn’s medieval dwellings have been more or less reconstructed. Better well-remained examples are House of Tourism (Raekoja plats 18), Tallinn City Theatre (Lai 23), dwellings addressed on Vana Turg 6, Kuninga 1, Pikk 71, Lai 29 and 40, Vene 17 and 23, Rüütli 12 and Suur- Karja 8. Tallinn Lower- Town’s medieval dwellings usually located on the streetline right side- by- side and they had common dividing walls. Behind the house usually was long and narrow courtyard.
