Lyndanise. Reval. Tallinn. City Life Through the Centuries

The permanent exhibition “Lyndanise. Reval. Tallinn. City Life Through the Centuries” at the Tallinn City Life Museum offers a fascinating journey through the history of Estonia’s capital. Located in Tallinn Old Town, the exhibition explores how everyday life in Tallinn has evolved from medieval times to the present day. Through unique artefacts, historical objects and engaging stories, visitors discover how generations of residents have shaped the city’s identity, culture and legends. Highlights include the original Old Thomas from the Town Hall Tower, the historic town hall chest and the gilded key made for King Charles XII. The exhibition also reveals unrealised visions of Tallinn, inviting visitors to explore the past, present and imagined future of the city.
