Flo Kasearu’s solo exhibition “BANANA - Build Absolutely Nothing Anywhere Near Anyone” invites us to think about inclusion and exclusion and explores the relationship between public and private property. What is the community’s responsibility for the common good when new developments — housing, renewable energy facilities, transportation solutions or other infrastructure objects — arrive on our doorstep? In these situations, some take a NIMBY (not in my backyard) stance, while others support a YIMBY (yes in my backyard) mindset.
The exhibition is curated by Kari Conte.
