The exhibition "Gorikatuur" at the Film Museum showcases the extensive body of work by Vello Agor, also known as Gori, Estonia's most prolific caricaturist.
Thanks to his creations, everyone in the Republic of Estonia was familiar with Gori. He was remarkably productive, producing daily cartoons as well as vignettes, paintings, comics, caricatures, illustrations, and participating in domestic and international exhibitions. Through his ironic and sometimes sarcastic imagination, we glimpse aspects of the former Republic of Estonia that were hidden in the shadows. Although Gori considered himself more of a journalist, he was, in fact, one of the best-paid artists of his time.
