End of the year at the Town Hall

The title, "The Trout Quintet", thanks to the well-known song by Franz Schubert, is one of the star pieces of chamber music. The beautiful melodies and colourful characters of the piece are also well-suited for a quick look back at the ending year. Schubert was twenty-two when he composed his piano quintet, while spending his summer in the town of Steyr which boasts a highly scenic swathe of natural beauty. Each bar of "The Trout Quintet", conveys the rich palette of colours and cheerful moods of Austrian nature. Performers: Triin Ruubel (violin), Kaija Lukas (viola),Theodor Sink (cello), Siret Lust (contrabass), Sten Heinoja (piano) Programme: Schubert. Piano Quintet in A major op. 114, D667 ("The Trout Quintet")
