Victory Day (June 23) and St. John's Day (June 24) are public holidays in Estonia. This also means some changes to the opening hours of Tallinn's museums and sights (the Tallinn Card partners) from 22nd to 24th June.

Don’t worry, though! Plenty of the museums and attractions will be open, welcoming visitors, and many of them will celebrate the occasion with thematic events: for example, the Estonian Open Air Museum will hold a special St. John's Day Celebration. So, there’s a good chance that your holiday will be even more eventful and memorable than you hoped for.

Some businesses may also close their doors three hours earlier than usual the day before the holidays, June 22nd, which is why we recommend checking the opening hours of museums and attractions on their websites for all three days (22nd to 24th of June).

The Estonian Open Air Museum invites everybody to celebrate St. John’s Day on a traditional Estonian way with flaming bonfires, music from the best folk musicians, dancing and swinging with big village swings and children playing old-time folk games.

Entrance to the event is free with the Tallinn Card!
