Nun's Tower and City Wall Platform

Today, Tallinn's City Wall is one of Europe's largest and best-preserved medieval defensive structures, forming a large part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Tallinn’s Old Town!

About 1.85 km of the city wall has survived, as well as 26 defensive towers, two intermediate gates and parts of two front gates. You can walk along a small section of the wall that connects the Nun’s, Sauna, and Golden Foot Towers, which were built in the 14th century.

The wall offers a wonderful view of the Old Town and Toompea Castle.

Step back in time and discover the secrets of Tallinn's City Wall!

Not much of it has been preserved. Quite high. You can climb a certain portion (you pay a fee) and walk along the crest of the wall, for a pretty nice view.

Beautiful walls which at one time surrounded the whole city. What is left is very picturesque to see and you can visit many of the towers.
