The Zoo has two entrances: The North Gate (on Paldiski Road) and the West Gate (Ehitajate Road). There is no accessible parking. The access is more challenging from the North Gate: there are long walkways with a rise of 10-12%. Access is easy from the West Gate. There are numerous rainwater chutes around the area of the goats. The Terrarium is well accessible (a slope of 6%). The Aquarium building is well accessible. Near the Elephant House, there is a lift suitable for all mobility aids that will take you to the second floor. There are 2 accessible toilets: Near the Elephant House and in the North Gate area. You may need assistance when moving around on the territory. A ramp with a steep accessing angle leads to the main cafe.

Tallinn Zoo is situated in the beautiful and naturally diverse Veskimetsa park forest. Discover the zoo with the most fascinating collection of animals in Northern Europe!

African giants (elephants and rhinos), majestic predators, playful primates and a large number of other exotic and endangered species are represented. The zoo also includes an impressive polar bear world and a children’s petting zoo. The zoo even boasts the best collection of mountain goats and sheep in the world! Here you will find a remarkable number of eagles, vultures and an impressive variety of owls and cranes.

The zoo is home to more than 11,000 animals representing almost 600 species and sub-species from Australia to Alaska.

The zoo is located only 15 minutes from the Tallinn city centre and has two access points: the western gate (at Ehitajate tee 150) and the northern gate (at Paldiski mnt 145).

Tallinn Zoo is open every day, except for the indoor exhibits, which are closed on Mondays. After the closing of the ticket office, it is possible to walk around in the zoo for a further two hours.

Children up to age six get free admission with an adult who has purchased a ticket.

Free with the Tallinn Card.
