The open air museum situated on the romantic coast of Viimsi provides a glimpse into the ancient everyday life of the coastal folk.
The main element of the building complex is the historical Kingu coastal farmstead comprising of a threshing barn from the 1820s, and a residential house, a barn and other farmhouses that were completed by the beginning of the 20th century. Kingu farmstead was a wealthy tenant household active in both fishing and agriculture.
The reconstructed fishermen dwelling houses of Krueger and Silberfeldt, situated in their historical setting, are also located here. In addition, it is possible to have a look at the net sheds, boat hoists, drying racks and items necessary in fishermen's daily lives. Together with the cellar, barns, net sheds and boat hoists, the whole complex accurately portrays the everyday life of ancient coastal folk.
