    Dominican convent 1246

Visit the well-preserved premises, established already in 1246. Walking on the streets of Tallinn, one does not see this building at all. After a deep gateway, you step into a courtyard that is worth visiting itself. From here you can enter the building where there are different rooms monks were living and studying. Inside, there are also lots of medieval carved stones on display. Besides, in some rooms (called Claustrum gallery), there are contemporary art exhibitions, changing bimonthly. Beyond the ordinary opening hours, private events as well as guided tours can be ordered.

    Free with Tallinn Card!

    NB! Open seasonally May-Sept.

The building itself was beautiful and well worth the visit. We went inside (we had our Tallinn card so it was free entry). I would have been so disappointed had I paid in! The rooms were impressive... Read more comments
