Loose gravel in the yard is an obstacle.

The life and work of Estonia's best-loved writer, Anton Hansen-Tammsaare, are chronicled here in his restored, 1930s home.

Tammsaare (1878-1940) is considered to be the greatest Estonian writer of the 20th century. His most famous work is the five-part epic, Truth and Justice, which covers all strata of Estonian society. Just as interesting as the exhibits is the apartment itself –  painstakingly returned to its original 1930s look – where the writer lived the last eight years of his life.

Entrance is free with Tallinn Card.
