Young Russian virtuosos will present the musical dialogue between East and West: Ivan Velikanov and Tarusa Chamber Orchestra, soloists Liliya and Anastasia.The Tarusa Chamber Orchestra is inextricably linked with the unique natural-architectural and historical reserve, the city of Tarusa, and has become an integral part of its cultural life (this year Tarusa can enter the network of UNESCO creative cities). Artistic director Ivan Velikanov together with young musicians prepares a variety of programs, from monographic to festival, which includes Russian and European works of the 18th-21st centuries.The current program is a concert-action: starting in a non-standard way — from an old Russian romance to the words of Goethe, in a free arrangement by Ivan Velikanov, it further involves transitions from composition to composition, as if inside a multi-part work... The idea of comparing Russian and European musical culture is also traced: Varlamov and Schumann, Haydn and Mozart, Schubert and Glinka, Sibelius and Pärt... It’s like a dialogue-roll call through space and time.
